Veka bay window

What is the difference between a bay and bow window?

Both are larger windows that protrude out the side of the home, creating something like a mini-extension. The key difference is in the shape. A bay window typically consists of a picture window with two other windows on either side, creating a trapezoid shape. A bow window, however, is a curved, semi-circle shape that uses the same style of window in each section.

As both windows protrude out of the wall, they can also create an extra large windowsill. In the kitchen, this extra space can double up as a great place to store house plants. In the bedroom, it could be used as a dresser. In the living room, it can simply be used as a relaxing place to sit and read. With a new bay or bow window, your home is literally opened up to a whole range of new opportunities.
